Sperry AO Chukka sizing

Hi,

first-time Sperry buyer, about to buy: http://needsupply.com/mens/brands/sperry/chukka-leather-and-wool.html

Wondering what size should I order? Do they run true to size, I'm an 11 wearing regular sneakers, 10 Clark DB..what size should I get?

Depends how you are going to wear them. I have Sperrys for the summer that I wear sockless and I go TTS 8.5D. I also own Sperry boots that I sized up to 9D for comfort (thicker socks).

Just plan on everyday use wearing with regular average socks. Should I stay 11 or go like 10.5?

Don't want them to feel loose though, do they stretch? If they do should I buy 10.5 and break them in?

If you're talking calf-height thin wool/polyester/cotton dress socks, then I say go your TTS Dress shoe size (10 or 10.5 I suppose). If you're talking thick athletic socks, then maybe go with your sneaker size (11). Tough call. What's their return policy like? Can you try a similar Sperry on in a store like Macys?

Nordstrom carries that model and it's the same as any other AO which you can find at most department stores.
