I've been searching in vain for such a thing for a while now. Maybe I'm just not searching correctly, or maybe it's just too burdensome to create/maintain such a thing. But I would love to find a database of some sort that helps decipher different suit/blazer/SC manufacturer tags.
For example, a Caruso tag and a Canali tag:
I imagine there are just too many models (modello) to keep track of, but is there a method to the madness?
Tessuto is the fabric, I assume ordine is the order number, cliente the client number, but what does "capi" mean? It seems to mean item or article in this context, but does that mean item 5 of an X-number batch?
It would be especially useful to sort out whether an ambiguous jacket is an orphan or not.
Anyway, any insights?
