A little difficult to tell without visible creasing, but if I had to guess, I'd say no. Looks like nice quality calfskin leather though.

Pretty sure they aren't shell. There's a small amount of micro-creasing at the crest of the wingtip (shoe on the left)

+1. That was my initial thought. Plus, even though I know the pic isn't great quality, something about how the flash reflects doesn't appear like my shells do when light hits them.

Yeah, I noticed the tiny bit of creasing as well, figured I better check with SF regardless.

At the risk of someone else buying them, these are regular Hanover (not LB Sheppard). Worth buying new at around $100?

I'm not familiar with regular Hanover quality, but they look nice for $100!!
