Question re: Lapels on Newly Made Jacket (photo)

I just received the jacket pictured below. My question is regarding the lapels. Setting aside personal preferences, based on traditional fittings/construction. It seems like the lapels are overly flared and that the roll should lead it to lie flatter to the chest. Am I misreading things here?

Appreciate any thoughts

Not sure what you mean. You should try wearing the jacket and seeing how the lapels lie based on the shape of your chest.

Put it on and take a pic.

The lapel roll is fine, the jacket you are posting has at least half canvass or even full canvass.

They are not meant to be flat at the end of the lapel, unless they are cheap ass suit jackets with fussing technique

the jacket seems nice, wear it with pride, and don't try to destroy the lapel
