Young Professional Starting a Wardrobe in Toronto - $2.5k budget - Page 2

AE shoes, brown, burgundy, and black, 2 suits minimum, gray and navy, for a total of 3 as you already have one in charcoal. A lot of people on here are quite fond of the Benjamin suits from ehaberdasher.com which are well within your price range.

I'm familiar with a parka w suit look. It iconic to mod/Teddy dress, but on Bat St., it's a better bet to fit in at first so to me a standard wool overcoat is more appropriate in this environment. If it were criminal o family, I would probably say where what keeps you warm. Associates have enough issues getting used to the culture of Bay Street, the politics of the firm and studying for the bar exam. Better to be noticed for your talent, dedication and being a "team player" than "that" guy in the funny coat/shoes/suit, at least at this stage.

One important lesson I learned at the beginning of my career is that guys who sign the cheques can wear anything they want, guys that don't, can't. Just my two cents.

BB often has 25% off during various Holidays online and in stores.

Probably a SF member's wife that is sick and fed up with her husbands shoe buying addiction.

hey, welcome to the forum. Try on BB's shirts and then buy online for less. Their suits aren't that bad either. Try on AE shoes at Harry's, and again then buy them for half the price direct from the company. Other shirts, try places like H&M (Eaton's or Bloor has a black label line that's better) or places like Club Monaco that often has a section of good shirts for $19-29. Eh, GAP or Banana might work but keep it simple and make sure they actually fit you.

Check out random places like Tom's Place. Also, just look at this retail map and you'll see some good places around GTA - Google Map
