Reasoned that Cleverly is usually linked to the Russia Calf and knew that C&J makes the Cleverly RTW line (and the Russia Calf at New and Lingwood) so I inquired at the shop in NYC and voila...had the Albany made up in Russia Calf. I didn't want the metal eyelets, but they put them in because they said it was better that way for durability...not sure I see why, given that there are plenty of examples of Russia Calf employed without them.

Here are a few more pics:

Nice shoes, but... are you sure that's the best shoelace layout to honour them?. I've observed you regularly use it, but I keep that type for sport/utility uses only. Otherwise, I go the parallel way.

Just an opinion shog[1].gif

I don't think I could pull off wearing purple shoes, but with these beauties I don't think I would care.

How do you manage to keep the polish off of the cloth?

Is it anything other than "just be carefull?"

Great looking shoes!!!

you need to wear something a bit flashier than just faded jeans if you're gonna wear purple shoes. Otherwise they're just the crazy shoes in an outfit.
