Yes, they were quite reasonable. Leather perhaps a little thin and I felt they would crease a bit but I sold them on after a while so never really got to find out. The brogue toe medallion has always rather been one of my favourite designs though.
For what they cost (now) I think that's probably my limit for this kind of boot. Trickers I feel are pushing it now at full retail, the price hikes over the last two years have been unjustified in my opinion. For the money, in this kind of boot I do feel Alfred Sargent pretty much take the lead in 'value' - Hannover (87 last), Lombard (7WK), Howard (7WK) ... for me though I find the 7WK an awful fit so they're out and I haven't tried the 87 but it looks too tapered into the toe for my foot shape regrettably.
