WAYWRN: Shoe & Boot Edition - Page 240

Yes, they were quite reasonable. Leather perhaps a little thin and I felt they would crease a bit but I sold them on after a while so never really got to find out. The brogue toe medallion has always rather been one of my favourite designs though.

For what they cost (now) I think that's probably my limit for this kind of boot. Trickers I feel are pushing it now at full retail, the price hikes over the last two years have been unjustified in my opinion. For the money, in this kind of boot I do feel Alfred Sargent pretty much take the lead in 'value' - Hannover (87 last), Lombard (7WK), Howard (7WK) ... for me though I find the 7WK an awful fit so they're out and I haven't tried the 87 but it looks too tapered into the toe for my foot shape regrettably.

Sorry to derail. Nice double monks!

Is that the GG06 or DG70?  Got any other pictures? (I'm having a drawn-out internal debate on G&G Oxfords at the moment)

GG06

Here's x-post of my G&G shoe circle:

Chestnut Rothschild is in DG70 and to the left of it is the Regent in GG06 - below that is the Oxford, also in GG06. That's the only side-by-side shot I got at the moment. Hope it helps!
