As Mezlan's go those are pretty darned subtle and tasteful. They have a store here in ATL and frankly most of what they offer is just flat out gaudy! And I like snazzy shoes.

Anyway - rock on!

Thanks guys.

I'm typically not a big fan of Mezlan, but I liked the fit and look of these. The quality of the croc skin is ok, but not great.

Mezlan does a lot of exotic leathers, but I have always found them to be rather thin and somewhat dry compared to some other croc I have, does anyone know why this might be?

I would imagine it's because they work with lower quality hides to keep their costs down.

I get this, but they do so much work in exotics, I just didn't realize there was that much low quality exotic skin available. They must be putting these animals on diets or something.

It's like getting a gray camel hair jacket that wasn't dyed, it just came from a really old camel.

I live in Oregon so I have developed an appreciation for camel hair coats. I have about a half dozen in my collection, in different colors, including camel. Now a vicuna coat in gray, that would be crazy. crazy.gif

Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren.

If you didn't recognize them then you must be a late comer to the party. There's been quite the commotion about these (and their relative models) for the past few months - see here (yep, almost 1K posts since October) : http://www.styleforum.net/t/268417/crockett-jones-for-ralph-lauren-cordovan-marlow-darlton-gifford-garran-lindrick-mccallum/0_100
