They look so much better "live" than posing alone :)

Thank you - I agree. Although I imagine they still won't be to many folks liking.

They've had three coats of cream polish in brown, olive and russet. Which helped tone them down and has added a little more complexity to the finish. After a few months I think they are going to be very nicely toned.

More and more I'm buying shoes that are lighter than I like on the knowledge that they will darken.

SCCCCCHHHHHHHHWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!
May I ask how long you've been wearing them?

I have owned them for about a year and a half, but I have only worn them about a dozen times or so.

Here is a picture of the shoe when it was new:

The shoe color is more accurate in the recent picture.

Nice looking shell razl. They look well cared for.

Thanks much, but honestly - they, and all my shoes, looked like crap until about 3 months ago when I got serious about wanting to take care of my shoes and became a devout student of
**The Official Shoe Care Thread: Tutorials, Photos, etc.** thread. I'm not yet a master, but as you can see, I'm finally getting good-enough-to-show results.

Let this be a lesson to anyone else who looks at their shoes and thinks they don't measure up to the pics you see on here - you can do it too!
