Matching watch and wallet with belt and shoes?

Just curious -- I generally carry a dark brown card case, and wear brown shoes and belts. I also almost always wear a watch with a black rubber strap. Am I angering any style gods here, or just being overly self-conscious? Appreciate any advice in advance!

This smells suspiciously like trolling, but I'll bite...

There is absolutely no need to match your wallet to the rest of your outfit. Unless you plan on either (a) moving all of your stuff between wallets every day or (b) wearing the same color shoes every day, this is not even feasible.

As for watch bands, that is a matter of personal preference. I think it would be too matchy-matchy to have watch bands that perfectly match my shoes and belts, and to always wear those colors together. I have multiple watches with leather bands, but one of them gets 80%+ of my wrist time. One of the reasons is that to my eye the band coordinates with, but does not "match", a wide range of colors (basically anything but black). Picture below. And of course the same issue with the wallet applies - it would silly to change the band on one watch every day, so if you really want to match watch band with shoes/belt then get a bigger watch collection.

If you are going to own only one watch and you want it to look "ok" with business attire, the safe thing is a metal band - presto, no issues with coordinating leathers. A rubber strap is probably not the way to go.

Appreciate the help. And no, not trolling... If I understand the definition that is. I meant to leave a note about it being my first post, my apologies. Anyways, I don't usually wear suits but darker jeans/chinos with suede chukka boots or loafers. The watch is a bit gaudy and probably not suited to the rest of my outfits, but I'm not going to worry about the wallet anymore. Thanks!

No need to match the wallet imo.

Matching the leather of the watch band to shoes is a bit too contrived for me personally...

But a rubber strap is too sporty I think, unless you're in very casual clothes anyway. +1 for the metal band.
