How many open buttons are considered appropriate ?

I often see guys at work wear dress shirts, without tie, open two buttons with undershirt visible. On the other hand, I usually leave just the top button open if I'm not wearing a tie. Isn't two buttons too many ?

Two buttons is probably acceptable for a more casual atmosphere. Fuck, Tom Ford does them down to his navel. Your undershirt should never be visible.

It depends on the ratio of thickness of chest hair to number gold chains. A low ration would would mean only one is acceptable.

It depends... does he have a chest like Iammatt or Achillus? Either way,the answer is none;both for very different reasons.

One button in the US, two buttons in Europe.

I do two in everyday life, but one or two in a business casual setting.

Up to 6 is ok if you´ve got a six pack. How else are people gonna believe your cristiano ronaldo-esque ab routine (1000 per day)?

Two buttons when I'm not wearing a sweater and one with a sweater cause two looks stupid.

One or two and get rid of the under shirt.

If you insist on an undershirt then just one - no one wants to see your underwear.

I always wear it with 2 unbuttoned, and always with a v-neck undershirt.
