Well, when you mention it I could be up for the copper suede if more people are interested in it! It sure looks really nice :D It´ll come down to which one most people are interested in.

Could I please ask everyone who wants in on the potential suede semi-brogue GMTO to PM me to confirm their interest and please specify which last and suede colour they want :) That way we can get the order on the way as soon as the new last is available.

Is this an Oxford / bal or a derby / blucher?

If the latter I would be interested in copper suede.

Does anyone have Pepe's email?  I wanted to get a recommendation regarding sizing for the following shoes:

http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1971

http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1966

http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2723

Basically, if I should get different sizes for the new rey or olfe lasts.  Or, if a MTO wasn't too much more, I wanted to get some pricing/etc.  I need a new black dress shoe bad!

^ Just tape your question to a pigeon and let him go.  You're as likely to get a timely response as you would by email.

Good to know!!!

I just bought some shell dark brown balmoral boots. And was always cautious of it since I have not heard much about it.

I wonder if the shell is not tanned as deeply as horween shell since they show wear more easily.

That and conditioning shell has always been weird since shell is actually not even "leather" per say. Its an membrane of tight fibers that resisde under the skin. (I believe.)

Cool pic of shell:

Thanks.  Can anyone clarify their size guide - they reference "height." Do they mean this is the length of the sole or something else?  This is confusing to me because their 6.5UK is comparable to a 7US and on the size guide, the 6.5UK 276mm in "height."  I wear a true 7-7.5US in Allen Edmonds and my AE soles are many mm's longer than 276mm.  I also have a size 7.5US in a John Fluevog  and cole haan's and the soles are close to 290mm.  According to the size guide, that would put me into a size 9, which I know I am not.  I assume that their size guide is referencing something else

Just trying to get sizing correct since I am located in the states and returning the shoes would be a hassle.  And sorry if this is a silly question, just now getting into the shoe game...I am tired of my cole haan's always looking like shit.  TIA

In their MTO, it is listed

• The production time for the MTO's is about 12-14 weeks.

It's a measurement of the length of the sole. It's kind of irrelevant unless you're comparing shoes that have very similar lasts and welt sizes.
If you are unsure of your size I would shoot them an email including either your foot measurements or your size in a popular last (i.e allen edmonds park avenue).

Interesting - especially since all my dress shoes measure out to approx. 290mm from heel to tip.  It would make more since if their measurement was for the actual leather/last (ie: not including the sole/the few mm that reach past the actual tip of the leather).  The AE's I have on now (Vernon's) the length of the actual leather is around the 280mm mark, which is a lot closer to the Meermin sizing.

I have talked to Luisa and she recommended the 6.5UK after sending her my measurements, but I don't want to blindly order $500 shoes without having some kind of comfort knowing they will fit

Not sure if I'm using the right terminology, but I think you guys can get what I'm trying to say....

The measurements are for the last, not the soles of the shoes. Luisa can email you sole measurements.

I would so like to see a Meermin full brogue (wing tip) derby. (something like the Loake Badminton/Chester)
Also a plain wholecut.
