I wasn't hit with customs charges when I received my two pairs.

Thank you.

My first order, I bought a pair of Classic line shoes for $220. FedEx hit with me with a $129 customs charge. At the time, I had no idea what it was for since I had already returned the shoes several weeks earlier and I thought someone had stolen my card number. I didn't receive the customs invoice in the mail until a few days after I disputed the charge and got a new card.

My last order, I bought two pairs of LM shoes and FedEx sent me an invoice for $0.

YMMV.

My Meermin 2nds. You can see a little piece missing on the sole which I am not happy about. Trying to get them to pay for the cobbler repairs on that since it wasn't mentioned in ebay description or in the pictures.

^^^ What last is that?

Ben according to the ebay auction.

It's medium width, but accommodates my wide feet well. These are going to be my new interview shoes.

Sorry which piece of the sole is missing? Are you referring to the corner of the heel which has been removed?

Lol if he is talking about that, it is called an gentlemen's notch and its supposed to be there. Keeps your shoe from snagging on your pant leg.

Most classy shoes have em.

New Ray is an B width hiro/olfe is C. You DO NOT want the new ray. You may want to size up to an 9UK or go with an roomier last. But do not pick an thinner last.

So I just ordered an pair.

For customs to the USA/Texas what should I be expecting? For about $250?

Also how will Fedex contact me to make me pay the customs fees? Did Meermin somehow give my info to them?

Fedex will deliver you an envelope that details customs fees (if there are any, Fedex frequently gets hit). You will be required to send payment to them

So does that mean my package will get delayed from the expected delivery date as well?

I should have asked meermin to give me anyone but fedex :(

We need an Meermin proxy that send us shoes as "gifts" from Spain so we do not get killed in customs.

We could pay him like half the expected custom's hit.

No, FedEx usually expedites the process and sends you the bill afterwards, plus a $10-ish "forwarding fee" to pay the customs for you as the package goes through

oh That's nice of them. I am surprised they do that since now they are on the hook for the fees paid.

like if I had the package shipped to my employer or something. (Using an alias/fake name for shipping) idk how they would ever pin the charges on me after I picked up the package
