Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 567

Preshipment pictures for these MTOs always look great, then quality control issues start popping up once members get ahold of their shoes, which has always made me hesitant to try Meermin myself. Will be watching how these turn out.

Excuse the bad photoshop, but what do you guys think of an adelaide without brogueing as alternative to standard the black cap-toe? Wearing simple black cap-toes five days a week can get a bit boring, so I was thinking of ordering this as an MTO in the future.

Got my first pair of Meemin's off eBay, I should have taken the 'E' fitting a little more serious as these are too narrow for my hobbit feet.

anyhow here's a picture I took earlier today.

Here's the listing if anyone is interested.

I think adelaides are best served with brogueing or raised stitching like G&G Gable.

Inconsistent leather quality, uppers separating from their welts, have a sunken toe plate on one shoe but not the other, etc.

I actually liked this a lot. I'm not in an office environment that force me to wear black shoes every day, but if you are these would be a great twist to have some variation.

Something like a modified EG Pelham:

I used the example above to have the following variation made (with EG):

I also thought this EG for RL (model 'Whittier') might be of interest:

Whilst I understand the 'normal' inclusion of a heel counter gives visual balance, I think I prefer the cleaner appearance sans heel for an austerity adelaide.

Thank you all for the replies! @jjl5000, thank you for the pictures, that was exactly what I had in mind. I bet it would look great in black and on the olfe last! Seen as it's a relatively simple design, it should be something that Meermin can make without any issues. Austerity Adelaide would indeed be a good name for it.
