Hi.

I am looking to buy a couple of pairs from Meermin.

The one black cap toe in Shell and The double monks in Navy suede.

I am confused about the sizing. I wear a 7.5 on INCA in Carmina.

Can someone please help me with the corresponding size ?!

Thanks.

AK

Probably 9.5 in Hiro, Olfe. New ray would be 10

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the discussion, pictures, and sizing info that prompted my to take the leap with Meermin (3-eyelet derby in snuff suede on the Hiro).

I put in an order on the website on 12/9, got a couple of emails about my order being in the system and the last status update is that it's been "initiated". What's the typical wait time these days before I get an invoice and they're ready to ship?

Usually about 30 days, sometimes earlier if they have stock.  They typically invoice when ready and ship out in around the last week of the 30 day window.

do you mind if you can upload a picture of them? deciding between these and the dark brown ones

also anyone know if theres a difference between the hire last and the ron last?

I have a very narrow heel and low instep, with my toes being (proportionally) most normal sized part of my feet - I take 10.5 in Olfe which fits just about perfectly with an insole, and 10.5 in Hiro which is a little narrow across the toes. Is 11 or 11.5 likely to work better in the New Rey?

So olfe has more room in the toe box than hiro?

I really REALLY wanted to go through Meermin for my first pair of shell boots but the shipping times for the most part was a deal breaker for me. I decided to go the Carmina route. Good luck for your shipment sir!

They are usually extremely quick. I think the delays may be because of the trunk shows if you ordered close to that period. From my experience the turn around is usually a week through UPS.

I think the whole operation is so reliant on Luisa and Pepe that when they are away it falls apart

It's also reliant on what they have in stock.  Everything you order online shows as available, even if it isn't.  So it's just luck whether you get it in a few days, or have to wait for it to be made (in China of course, then sent to Spain for finishing).  I tried emailing to check if something was actually in stock as I needed it fast.  A month later I didn't get a reply, so I assumed not!
