Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 559

Good evening gentlemen *

Can anyone tell me how the sizing on the Meermin monks (hiro last) compares to Loake Cannon.

I typically wear a 6UK in Loake and Tricker's.

The pictures of a similar Meermin monk listed on eBay look rather a small fit.

Best Regards

I'd like to buy a pair of suede double monks, but I don't know which one between the Snuff Rapello suede (http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2694) and the Dark Braun Rapello suede (http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2311).

Any advice? Which is the most versatile?

Probably i prefer the Snuff one, but i'm scared it's too light...

thanks

The dark brown is more versatile but the snuff is a much more beautiful colour on its own. I would say the snuff doesn't go well with earth colours such as terra cotta, navy or dark grey while the dark brown goes with everything but black.

I didn't see the post from a Cpl of weeks back Brill.  Thanks for the pics.

Don't imagine they will but looking forward to see the burgundy oxford and the dark brown suede boot go up on the site.

Interesting to see a pic of pepe, for some reason I had imagine him an old guy who'd been making shoes for the last 50 years or so :p

Also thought the same and was surprised.

I'm looking for a single monk strap in black, and it has come down to the meermin black calf

http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1932

or

the Bally Lewis

http://www.bally.com/item/store/BALLY/tskay/BCAD6A87/rr/1/cod10/44546363MN/areaid//sts/

Any info either way would be appreciated. The Bally is 50% off, so that puts them in the same price range. I work in the city, so I walk a ton, if that makes any difference

Thanks

Hey guys, I am thinking to purchase a pair of DARK BROWN CALF monk strap and bluchers. I would like to get some advice on sizing. I am US7.5D on barrie last. What size should l get for the Hiro and Rui last? Also, if anyone is thinking on holding MTO for light brown cordovan monk strap or PTB. I am more than happy to join.

I say 7 on the Hiro. I wear a 10D Barrie and the 9.5 double monk Hiro fits great.

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on my first pair of Meermin shoes.  I want to go with a suede double monk.  I am absolutely in love with this navy suede: http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2766

My concern is how to wear it.  I wear suits regularly and have everything from navy to brown to charcoal to grey.  Would you wear those navy suede double monks with any color suit, if so which one? I am an attorney in Georgia and, for the most part, style around here is lacking. I am certainly not afraid to take chances.

^ sounds like a serious threat. Attorney+suits+navy suede double monks+Georgia.

But if you absolutely must, then the answer is greys and browns. Monks with a suit is far from formal anyways - not to mention navy suede doubles. Those shoes are for your average beige chinos+navy sport coat -set.

Thank you sir.  I might be able to pull them off with my light grey windowpane suit, but that would be about it.  I may have to settle for the dark brown if I want suede doubles.
