Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 554

Stopped by and picked up my dark brown suede chukkas and they are great. Naturally I spilled cooking oil on them 2 hours of wearing them. Oh well, I guess it's "patina."

Also, seeing all these shoes in person made me realize how insanely high the standards of people on SF seem to be. Obvious MTO gaffes aside, these are all genuinely nice shoes at a great value. Now that I know my sizing a bit better (tried on a bunch of lasts) I am definitely going to order more Meermin.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has ever said meermin are bad shoes, just that their QC process sucks. Everyone who got the shoes they wanted/ordered (not messed up) was very satisfied.

Thanks, very helpful info

The New Rey and only the New Rey. Vil is smaller and Olfe is larger. Olfe not a lot larger but enough if one has narrow feet. Wearing New Rey UK 13.0 and 13.5 and Carmina Simpson UK 12 (snug) and 12.5 i.e. downsizing approx 1 size for the Simpson. Wearing the Olfe in UK 13 and it is a little too wide.

Incredibly there seems to be lots of people who fit Benz rims on BMWs i.e. wear a New Rey, a Hiro, a Simpson and a Rain. Incredible and can't be well fitting.

Hiro is a little wide IMO. I wear the same size in both, but with less initial toe pinch on the Hiro.

Does anyone have the olfe last that wears a US 9.5D (maybe share your foot dimensions?)?  Id be curious if the 8.5UK size is what I should order.  I just tried on a 9.5D US Cole Haan shoe today and it seemed to fit me perfectly, so I'm hoping I would be correct in ordering a 8.5UK.

I'd appreciate any advise.

Yes
they did in dark brown but did not get pics as they were not on display, but the gentlemen that were there were trying them on.

The hiro looks much wider than the rain last. As for fitting, hiro is also wider than the rain for the same size, but not as much as it looks from the outside.

I definitely disagree. Rain is known as a large last, both wide and long. Hiro is pretty standard. I wear 9,5 in Rain, and 10 in Hiro, and the Hiro still is a bit more snug than the Rain-last.

I wear 9.5 in both.

Strange that people consider the Rain last wide and roomy. I own both the rain, olfe and hiro in 7,5. rain is narrower and tighter across the vamp. If i ever ny a Rain again I will size up for sure. Olfe and Hiro are more or less perfect fits.

I share with u that rain is not a wide last. I think inca is a much wider last.
