1) similar to the New Rey last but has a different toe box;

3) a higher instep;
4) a modified heel cup; and
5) more volume on the area below to enhance the fitting of the sleek last

This last will be lasted soon and I will provide more pictures. I personally like it and am imagining it as a as sleek chukka in hatchgrain ala G&G icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

They do look great. But with them being similar to the New rey and from how narrow at the ball area it looks I'm really afraid that they won't work for me :-( I have feet that border to wide, and have a juvenile hallux valgus which makes me unable to wear too tight fitting shoes. And don't want to go up much in size and have super long shoes, that's never good IMO.

New last looks great. Would love a pair of sleek chukkas. I remember someone mentioning that meermin was consisting a brick and mortar store in nyc. Any developments in that end?

So, I put in an order for two pairs of RTW shoes and get a confirmation email saying it will take 30 days

WUT? What happens if I cancel the order on the 15th day, 31st day? I don't get the logistic of it if it is suppose to be RTW.

Email from Pepe re: Museum Calf Brown Mk. II

All good, things are on schedule. Museum calf has been secured from Ileca and should be all shipped out by early Nov, as scheduled.

In the mean time I'll probably end up buying more Meermins! Haha

From my experience with New Rey an higher instep should be better for me, at the same time I'm curious to see how the modified heel cup comes out.
Very interesting anyway, please keep us posted!!

That seems a bit strange, so they are going to get a delivery from a company that doesn't exist anymore?

The Linea Mastro is on the New Rey last and the classic is on the Hiro last.

Thanks.

Can any experienced members advise on above? I am trying to MTO a pair of but unsure which lasts I should go (Olfe vs New Rey). Thanks!

Interesting, I went with same size as my other C&J. On 348 I can go 1.5 down from US size.

Guys, question. Yesterday I found a dealer that has some Carmina shoes, I think it's the only dealer in Mexico, so I tried the only two lasts they have. The Rain and the Smpson, I thought the 8UK would be enough, but it feel very tight in my toes. The 8.5UK felt way better. When I talked to Luisa she recommended to use 8UK in all their lasts, but with this info (I got from trying Carmina's), should I go with 8.5UK?

So in terms of shape of the last, is Olfe close to that of C&J 348? Or New Rey?

I posted some comparison pictures awhile ago, I cannot remember. I wear a 10UK in Olfe, I couldn't get my foot in New Ray 10UK.
