Add 100 Euros to the shell price as long as its on an existing last and it should be no problem. Pretty sure they make a lwb or at least used to and the MTO programme allows any design past or present. (sometimes also future!) Email Pepe for confirmation

Somewhere back in the thread there is definitely a burgundy longwing MTO. Their pricing is basically Cordovan pricing +EUR100 MTO fee (so EUR420 inc VAT)

Anyone know if they are on summer holiday or anything? Emailed Pepe a few questions and never heard back.

If I proxy, I'll only charge a small fee to cover the drive to Madrid (approx 6 hour drive). So maybe like 15-20 euros.

Seems to me this is a great deal for our Canadian neighbors to avoid the 35 euro shipping charge and $100 or so they pay in customs and duties.

Yes, which is why I am tempted to take up the offer. Anybody have experience with both the Hiro last and how it compares to their loafer lasts?

Hiro is snug (but not too tight) around the toes and balls of my feet, but loose around heals and opening. For loafers must have a snug fit around the heals as well so then don't slip.

well, with 100 MTO, not so great, but at 320 that would be awesome, guess need to think about group buy at certain point nod[1].gif

Was wondering if anyone knows how the Hiro or New Rey compares to Allen Edmonds 5-65 last, specifically Park Avenues. I have been measured to be 7D at the Allen Edmonds store and tried on the Park Avenues and they fit pretty well, but due to really bad bowing near the ankles I had to return them, so I'm looking for a pair of black oxfords for formal occasions.

Looking at the classic black oxford 101198 on the Hiro last or spend a little more for the Linea Maestro oxford 10172 on the New Rey Last.

Luisa responded to me 6UK for the Hiro, but I checked and the New Rey last seems to be narrower and suggests people go up half a size for that. So on New Rey would I need to go for a 6.5UK?

Has anyone done an MTO boot with burgandy shell?  Be interested to see some pics

420 for shell not so good!? And you get to take 21% vat off that too! Not to mention pick your last, sole type, lining and weird shell colours if you want!

Can't tell 100% from the pictures, but this could be a burgundy shell boot:

I wear a 9D on the 5-65 AE last. I purchased the double monks in the Hiro last in a size 8.5UK. Fit is a tad big only on my right foot, but I think 8UK would be too small and uncomfortable. Hope that helps!

Also - I have bowing at the ankles only when I walk in my AEs. Never really bothered me, but maybe I should reconsider?

I have infinite patience, so 320 EUR take off 20% (21%?) VAT sounds better to me...

The proxy is open to our American friends as well, but if you live in Toronto we can do local pick up.

I'll carry a maximum of 4 pairs (only 1 pair person) and only charge 20 euros each (as I said, 6 hours both ways).

And obviously you pay for shipping from Canada.

If interested, pm me. Like I said, 4 pairs only.

And out of curiosity, is there a Carmina boutique in Madrid?
