Agreed, which is why I hope to be a customer again someday.

My feet are not irregular size. I have had several European pairs, Magnanni, Jeffrey West, Harris all in 45 EU Size (10.5 UK) and never encountered this issue. Also it feels like almost a half or full size difference between the left and right shoe.

Their size differentials could easily be determined scientifically by measuring length and width. Works better than "feel"

Amy updates on the austerity MTO? They've started construction a while ago. Surely they could take a picture or two of the process?

Luisa replied stating they will cover the cost of repair. Will keep you guys posted.

They haven't started production. They're in the production queue. No updates as of last week when I had a change request to submit

My bad, thought they'd started already. I just can't wait to see how they'll turn out!

Any word on where the plum museums are at in the process?

Woot! My snuff suede double monks are ready to ship and have been paid for (less than a week after placing order). Maybe this means they are in stock, so if you've been on the fence now might be a good time...

For those of you who have ordered recently - RTW, not MTO - what turnarounds are you experiencing? Skimming recent posts, it looks like 30-45 days from order to delivery? Anyone seeing better or worse than that range?

My first Meermin purchase was super easy. I placed an order on Tuesday 9th and received on the Wednesday 16th. This was shipping to the UK. I did initially try and discuss an MTO with Pepe, email replies were a little sporadic, but having thought I should probably try and get a last dialled in I placed an order for 2 pairs of Classics an 8 & 8.5. I checked available stock levels with Luisa and have always receive a reply in 24 hours. Once order was placed, invoices were sent through promptly, even Sandro reared his head for this portion of the order! I wanted to change the delivery address post order, both Luisa and Sandro confirmed this had been updated and the UPS link duely arrived.

Shoes are great value, suede is nice and consistent, the nap doesn't all run perfectly one way & one pair had a tiny knick in the binding but this was directly underneath a lace so I don't see any cause for complaint. I wore the 8's today and they are a bit of a squeeze so I've switched to the 8.5's. I like bit a roomy shoe. 8's now on EBay.

On the whole I've had a really easy buying experience - Luisa's English is much better than my Spanish but I did find myself sometimes having to ask a question twice to get an answer. But if she'd asked me to write to her in Spanish I'd be lost so an extra email, and a bit of patience, is worth it.

Pics!

It really depends - you can get a reasonable estimate on when the particular model you want might ship by emailing Luisa. My first pair was ~40 days, this one is looking like 7 or so.

Maybe if you're not the patient type, it's good to just ask what's actually in stock in your size - they don't necessarily tell you when you order unless you ask, and the website gives no indication of what's there, and what will have to come from China.
