It's sort of like Carmina sleekness with AE quality and quality control, without the brilliant AE customer service. I'm waiting to pull the trigger, but I've been waiting for a year almost.

Also, less of a premium and more willingness for individual MTO's than Carmina or AE... or really any brand for that matter.

Hasn't it already been established that in the LM line at least, the quality is far better than that of AE?

Quality in terms of construction, definitely. Styling, yes (subjective of course).
Quality control, no. Consistency, no.

Yeah QC I'll give you tho AE have had a little longer to work on consistency

After waiting for a good month for my shoes to ship, UPS are taking their sweet time getting them up north. Worth the wait though.

The "Receiver requested temporary change of address" thing is probably a bug - I didn't request it. Got an email the other day saying the address had been changed, and it informed me of the new address; which was the exact same one I had given Meermin earlier.

Thought I would share my success with you guys. Ordered 3-4 weeks ago, got a payment request saturday, or monday, and the shoes showed up today. Fit is good, and I can see no issues with the finishing. Totally happy and satisified. Heres some pics, black calf double monks:

here we go smile.gif

Meermin Brown Tassle Loafers 8UK

as for sizing i wear:
- Loake 026 Last (8UK)
- AE Strands 9D (i would go half size down and go a E as the Last is narrow)

i found these shoes fit perfect, there is nothing to fault them. The only issue i did have, and it could be from my inexperience (never owning a loafer previously) it took me a while to put these on for the first time, But once they were on it was all good.

They look really good! Congrats biggrin.gif I have a pair of Loake in 026, so I'll probably go for the same size as those. Thanks for the info.
