So I'm hoping I could get someone's opinion about my pair I've recently bought, it seems like there's a manufacturing fault. There's a crack running through the upper(?), it goes like a inch down to the left, pointing to my heel, while on the other shoe(no foto) there's also a similar crack, but that one points to the front of the shoe. I'm not really sure if it's oké or a big no-no, should I ask pepe to look at these ?

(same shoe different angles)

I can't see any "cracks" on the upper at all. Do you mean the place on the upper part of the heel? That's just where both ends of the welt, the leather strip which holds the upper and sole together, meets. Nothing wrong at all.

@ J ingevaldsson,
Well I got a little worried because on other shoe, the finishing on the leather strip is alot nicer, barely visible, this one was a bit ''dramatic'' compared to the other one.
But if it's perfectly normal, I'm happy then with the way they are.
(Wished they were a little bit darker like on their site, http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2339 )

Thank you for your answer

Of course one could make it more neat, but for the price you pay for Meermin you can't expect things like that to be looking perfect.

Ordered a pair of their dark brown single monk shoes in suede from Meermin a week ago, order is still being processed. I'm a bit worried about the size not being right as I've never ordered from them before. However, I bought a pair of shoes from Carmina a couple months ago and they, at Meermin, assured me that if a UK7 in Carmina fits me well, I should order a size 7 from them as well.

To those of you with shoes from both brands: are they the same sizes and do they both fit well?

I've been stalking this post for a while and from looking at your pics, I decided to put a Group MTO together for a couple of my friends and I. So The problem is I haven't heard back from Pepe since 4/21. I understand that he's probably busy but is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

After a long and storied history, I just received Namor's Y.O.L.O. custom shell cordovan jodphurs after picking them up for a great price from a Spanish seller on ebay. Perfect fit!! Could have been custon made for me...at least I now know what size I wear in a Meermin.

Honestly I've never been happier about all the time I've wasted on SF over the years!!

Austerity MTO makeup estimate from Pepe is 14 weeks!! Still puts receipt at end of August beginning of September. Hope this works for all group members.
He'll send pictures of the sample boot when it's complete.

I am waiting to see the final specs of the hatchgrain and plum museum calf, before deciding if i should go in on that or the regular line single monk cos my fear is that if i get the regular line now, I'll be kicking myself if the special make up adopts the same shoe design.

not having received my TS Museum-Calf MTO yet, I still can surely say: I AM IN FOR A PLUM MUSEUM CALF DOUBLE MONK!

No, it's not, but we cannot make them go faster...j/k

On a brighter note, I am picking up my Museum MTO tonight.

Not a fan of double monks, but we'll see what options are thrown out for there for the plum museum.

Please post some pictures. Mine have not been shipped yet.

As far as plum museum goes I think austerity brogue would look great in fact Meermin already has austerity brogue in its lineup so I think the process would go much faster.

On the other hand who ordered Jodhpur boots from Merrmin. I know somebody from this forum did but I cannot remember who?
