I'll be in on the hatchgrain in an "EG style Dover" in an Olfe last with Blue lining, single leather sole.

Hahaaa! That's very specific! All except the actual colour of the shoe!
No split (camel) toes from me I'm afraid

I'm not sure what the colour of the hatchgrain would be. I'd be more interested in a mid brown.

nice.

I could also go for Hatchgrain in a penny loafer, full strap, not beefroll.

I like this if color will be on lighter side and sole'll be dainite or at least york.

I believe wingtip derby boots will be really nice in mid-brown hatch grain. If you do not want boots, I think LWBs or wingtip oxfords will be nice as well.

Wholecuts look sharp but I'm afraid when creases appear they will be significantly more noticable than on other designs. I like their Norwegian welt on wholecuts, Meermin's are not too wide and looks quite accurate.

I believe dark brown hatch grain is not interesting and like something about EG's burnt pine much more. Maybe chestnut but without strong orange hue.

About lasts I think it should be either Olfe or Hiro. I like the high boot idea because their boots are on Rui which is very wide for calf boot IMO.

Terror lives in Malaysia, good luck getting him to do a high boot!

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 85

that is exactly what i wanted but OzzyJones doesn't want camel toes, for his shoes anyway.

Well we should float this idea, and who knows there may be enough interests to make two lasts?

I'd be interested in all the formats people have mentioned: split-toe, chukka, or wholecut but the Doveresque model would be my top choice

I asked Luisa about making some tassel loafers in burgundy calf. Unfortunately she says it'll have to be MTO then, which means €100 on top. Hoped it would be cheaper when it's only the colour, but I guess it's just the added hassle that costs...

Likely wont find enough people for a group MTO order on SF to make it cheaper. Not for tassels. laugh.gif So, a bit off-topic, sorry, but do any of you happen to know of other options for a pair of burgundy tassel loafers?

Carmina? Alden? Lots of makers that do burgundy tassels.
