sorry long time from the post,

I ordered black oxford (hiro last ,classic line) ; I compare them to Church's, Prada, Ferragamo, Gucci's ... etc...

First of all let me tell you I'm Italian so is not some kind of hate vs italian products, but this http://store.prada.com/it/IT/man/footwear/lace-ups/4E2339_OLE_F0C9G IMHO is coplete shit...

I'd not wear them if they'd give me 10$ everytime!

They not only look awfull , but are also made really really badly!

Taste is indeed a subjective matter (altough one could question those big brands... ) , but price and quality isn't. Church's are around 550 euro in Italy, leather is coming from exactly the same places, goodyear welted both, style well depend on taste (I like better meermin), quality seems pretty similar (I've 2 pair of church's, my dad 10 ) ...

only difference is one costs 150 euro the other one 550!

About Prada, gucci etc... 90% of their shoes are not even goodyear, if you'd ever want to resole them(assuming they don't fall apart after 6 month as they do) you can't!

I mean is just ridicolous for the amount of money you pay!

Buongiorno :)

What a comprehensive and enjoyable answer you delivered. It is comparative knowledge such as this that is useful to beginners who mostly see big marketing ads by big conglomerates such as Prada. I will most definitely take your advice and stick with Meermin.

Cordiali saluti,

Johan.

I just received a snuff belt I ordered.  The belt seemed to be good quality; however, it was 1 1/2'' - 2'' shorter than ordered.

Kind regards,

I would say Classic are solid beaters, LM is still pretty cheap. Prefer C&J but depends on your aesthetics more I guess

It's standard time for Spain, professors would take 3 days too on questions about assignments then just give an extension on due date all the time

And finally wore my cuero MTOs, put a little reno on today. Shell feels about the same as carmina, maybe a bit thinner

Meermin Blue Suede from last season.

I just switched out my winter boots and summer suedes.

I would classify this as more of a navy suede as they are pretty dark even in direct sunlight.

GTFO with those monk pics. Not cool driving a man to the brink of having to order a pair.
