Nice! I ordered a pair of shoes on March 29 and it was initiated today. What are the steps in their process? So I'm assuming this is step number two; how many steps until shipped? Ozzy, when do you expect yours to ship?

I'm not best placed to answer that as my only other pair was bought before the automated order system. (Remember those good ole days?!) The stated delivery was 6-8 weeks tho so I'm happy so far.

I think initiated may mean the order has been passed to the factory tho I'm happy to stand corrected

Haha! Dunno if I'm keeping that order going. I might cancel and get both versions of the group MTO I'm doing. (Or buy them all!)  icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I might be interested in joining, but I have a couple of questions:

1. Do you have an example of the leather colors?

2. How do I accurately determine sizing? It would be a shame to order boots that don't fit well.

3. What's the delivery schedule like? Will they be ready for fall?

Thanks!

On their website pics, it really looks like a think extra piece of leather has been sewn on the toe (which I know it has, but it looks so thick and obvious compared to other captoe), which puts me off.

And I really wish they would stop using Hiro and New Ray as their standard lasts. Ben or Olfe would be OK, but why not make a real chisel toe like TG73 or EG888? I would buy at least 4 pairs in a heart beat.

Concerning the captoe. Do you suggest that there is an excessive overlapping? If yes, I think it's appearent on both the below mentioned colours and not just on the captoe but also on the quarter (?). However, I think it's more forgiving on the brown than on the black (for some reason).

http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2034.

http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1925

This is also appearent on:

http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/collections/oxfords-price-asc/products/alfred-sargent-exclusive-armfield.

http://www.macsamillion.co.uk/crockett-jones-hallam-shoe-in-black-calf/p94.

Perhaps it's unavoidable. The brown captoe from Meermin Classic seems to be great value however.

Kind regards,

Johan.

I think it's most apparent on the second link -- and any models with the reverse captoe.  I think someone had pictures of that model earlier in the thread, and it looked thicker there as well

2. What shoes do you normally wear? Width and size in either UK or US measurements.

3. Yes. Fall is 4 months away. They'll be ready by end August beginning of September.

Thanks! I have no idea what my width is, my shoe collection is not that extensive yet. I usually wear a UK10 for brands such as Santoni, Magnanni and Suitsupply. My feet are 29cm long and 10cm wide, and Luisa advised me to order a UK10 when I was ordering my Meermin loafers, which are on the Ron last.

Thanks for the help. Do you think a UK10 would be fine for these boots?

I'm afraid I have no knowledge of the Ron last but I'm going with my regular size as I find New Rey a little narrow so reckon the little extra width should be perfect. I sized down half for my Rui order tho.
Drop Luisa another email re how Olfe and Ron compare.
