Two new single monks have been put up on the Olfe last in the LM collection.

Burgundy single monk with brogue

Dark brown suede and leather SM with brogue

It's good to see they're working hard on increasing the offerings but it's gonna play Hell on my finances.

I was considering having them make me something like the second pair (dark brown suede and leather) as an MTO, but I decided to get double monks to figure out my size first. A week or so before my 30 days were up, they posted them. I wish those had been posted a bit earlier to skip me past the double monks, but, seeing those pictures, I see myself ending up with both. They're just a fantastic pattern and shape.

So neither of this is the carmina one? The one I posted is Clifford Roberts bespoke.

You, dear sir, are yet a young member on SF. You will soon enough realize you have a passionate relationship to double monks, split toes and navy bluchers with purple lining. Be patient. You'll get there. You will also discover that Scottish weather is no reason to not wearing suede.

Much hilarity ensued!! Its not the weather its the mountains of salt the councils throw everywhere! And how did you know I also hate split toes? Camel hoof springs to mind

To introduce this more elegant type of monkstrap is probably one of the smarter moves from Meermin to pull. Unfortunately, they had to come up with two styles with medallion. I'd contemplate purchase if one style was with medallion and one without.

It may sound like whine but it's a preference of mine. I'd contemplate purchase if one style was with medallion and one without.
+1
Helps me keeping my cash in my pocket, though

Heh educated guess. Many times the disgust for double monks goes hand in hand with disgust for split toes - they are both aesthetically challenging. But like I said, worry not! You'll soon find yourself owning plenty of both. I speak from experience.

Noooooooooooo! A newfound obsession with checked sports coats and MOP buttons us bad enough! I'll content myself with many pairs of dandyesque balmoral boots!!

They're not mutually inclusive; I love my double monks but can't stand split toes, and I'm a Norwegian as well!

And strangely I have no problem with Norwegian camel toe!
