Owned both Meermin LM & C&J Handgrade, I like Meermin better.  And they costs about the same prior to the skyrocketing price increases of C&J for the past several years.

p.s., Meermin LM insole is about 3.5-4mm thick, about 7 irons.  Some bespoke makers goes as thick as 10 irons for insole...

I'll just note that I have several pairs of C&J, both in benchgrade and handgrade form, and all of them are leather-lined. I've never seen a pair of C&Js with fabric lining and I wouldn't buy them if they were fabric-lined.

Both benchgrade and handgrade C&J uses fabric lining between the outer leather and the inner leather lining to cost down/save from buying thicker leathers.  But higher grade shoes such as EG and JL have much thicker leather lining thus no fabric interlining.  Same with the old G&G, not sure about the new G&G.

Interesting. Church's has used linen canvas for years without ill effect.

I don't think there are any noticeable "ill effect" with using a canvas interlining, but it does make for a cheaper construction. Whether or not that's a deal breaker from a craftsmanship standpoint is another matter, but people on this forum snub brands for much less.

Thanks for the update.

How long, typically, from lasting to shipping?

How does it compare with C&J's 337 last or Carmina's Forest last?

I agree Namor, I love the fit of the Olfe.

I have 337 in UK9.5 and UK10 in Olfe. Olfe hugs my foot, can't describe it any other way. It's probably the best fitting last that I've had-length and width-wise and I've possessed a lot of shoes..

So you size up half for Olfe from C&J?  What's your size for JL and EG/G&G?

Agreed. It really hugs about every part of the foot without being uncomfortable; reminds me of of how G&G and EG shoes feel. 337 and forest are both feel about 1/4 sizes bigger than olfe

My shoe size is closer to a small US11D.

EG 82-10.5/11E
EG888-10/10.5E
EG202 10/10.5E
EG606 10/10.5E
G&G Westbury and Savoy (forgot lasts)-10.5 E
JL 8000-10
JL 7000-10, but probably could do a 9.5
C&J 348= UK9.5
Carmina Rain and Forest UK10
AE-11US
Vass-44 F-last

I am sure that I am missing some C&J and JL lasts, amongst others
