I'm 9.5D in the 5 last without insole and I get heal slippage with the Hiro dub monks in 8.5UK.
They usually advise sizing down 1 for the classic line but a half size for the Linea Maestro. Of course, that's because of the lasts they use, but that also means you might get lucky. The half size down you chose could work out well for you. I'm a size 7D on AE's 5-last, and I ordered a whole size down for the classic line double monks. If I receive them before your order is finalized, I'll try to leave some feedback on here as to the fit, and that may help you make a final choice.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when ordering.
Going to Barcelona in the end of may and checking out the Carmina store, so if I choose to get dubmonks from their store in Barca I probably won't buy dub monks from Meermin.
I want another pair as well! But as a second year college student, its tough. I have to actually save money but this damn forum has me addicted. I work for a major airport in advertising and sponsorship (intern for 4 months) and everyone looks at me and says, where did you get [insert article here].
My parents arent too happy. hahaha
I'm in Toronto as well and was wondering if you could let me know how much (as well as duties and taxes) your shoes came out to.
They look awesome and I'm itching to order a couple of pairs.
Sounds great, do you have any shoes on the Rui last? Considering a pair of derbys and/or chukkas but they are on the Rui last and not the Hiro (which I think I'm a UK9.5 in).
Checked out the picture of the different lasts, but the difference doesn't seem significant. (E width and EE width)
I've asked. They will tell you. Whatever they have in stock can ship immediately.
Thanks for the tip, I will.
I was thinking of getting these http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1947, as they are quite cheap, rubber soled and looks quite decent.
