Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 248

For the group MTO -
Anybody have both Olfe and Hiro and can say how much slimmer Olfe is? Hiro is about perfect width wise on a 10UK and length is just a tiny bit longer than ideal. Feel Olfe fits the style of shoe much better

If you are in the US, it doesn't seem too bad at $20-60 a pair. Still pretty cheap total for a pair of shoes

For classic collection I think it's about $20 a pair in the US. Does it really go up as high as $60? I guess that would be for an MTO or something?

Fuck, with that kind of money they will boost Spain's GDP by 5%, and here I was thinking that in these uncertain economic times manufacturers would be chasing

business.

It has worked though, because I will fork out the full amount up front and wait patiently, for over 5 months, for the shoes to be delivered.

I think its time for you to learn the difference between working capital and business risk.

5 months is a short waiting period anyway.  Go G&G MTO to test your patience.

It's ~10% + $6.5 FedEx advance fee.

Is the general consensus to size up 1/2 from the other lasts to the New Rey (i.e. 9 Hiro --> 9.5 New Rey)?

Today Pepe sent me some more pictures of my MTO. The shoes allready got lasted:

I marked some unprecise stitching. Should it be that way or is this a problem?

Chogall is one I have read and respect. I have been on this site since '08 but posted and read regularly since '10. He is right, and proved right on Vass. Only thing I have disagreed with others on is the import levy, tax. EMS is the preferred mailing option, but as previously stated, my purchases and other's who have ordered from Miami, have never been charged- and I know a fed Ex air delivery agent who has said it is simply an arbitrary decision. Bottom line, Miami is an aberration. Quit moaning and build 10% into the purchase

I have only 1 pair on New Rey. I went TTS UK (9.5 vs. 10.5US/10E AE/10 Barrie) on Pepe's advice, & they're too narrow. I'd go up .5 if I wanted any more on the New Rey.

I went against advice to size up 0.5 and stayed with my own size. Too narrow but I can live with them and I'm sure they'll stretch a little. I would be worried about sizing up and having clown shoes

The last measurements Meermin sent me have the Olfe last 0.4 inches slimmer than Hiro and 0.8 inches longer.  That's for an 11UK.

Can anyone give me a cheat sheet on how the Rui compares to the olfe or hiro?

So I attempted to place an order for a pair of
Monks last week and have yet to receive y invoice to pay for them.

I have reached out to Pepe and luisa and have yet to hear back.

Could someone please advise if
I am doing something incorrectly or if they are just slow.
Thanks

It's xmas time and they are incredibly busy, I don't think many people realise how busy they actually are. MTO buys are out to 5 months I think I read. I wouldn't be surprised if they stop accepting orders for a month or so again to try and catch up. I'd like another pair of Meermin MTO sometime next year but being honest if there is a 5 month wait on them i'll likely buy another pair of Carmina instead.
