Do you mean style 12153? At first glance, I thought that, too. But for me it looks like the seams are different.

I just realized the effect of having the pairs of holes at increasing distances the further up the shoe you go: when you put the shoe on it'll make them look almost all the same distance apart. Or rather, it would depending on the height of the arch of your foot? On mine it would have that effect since the vamp (?) makes a V on my shoes.

Has this been discussed before, or am I way off?

Yes, that is the one I'm referring to.  http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1922

I never ever wear denim, so I don't have much practice thinking about pairing shoes with it. That said, I think the suede balmoral would be too formal. So I think the tassel loafers would be the better choice. I'm most drawn to 100% suede tassel loafers (as opposed to the suede upper/calf tassel RTW they have already), but that's purely personal preference.

I have those in dark brown (the lighting there makes them look dark brown, at least on my monitor), and they're Classic Line. 12153-S were the ones that I ordered, and they have the same seam pattern and cap toe medallion.

How does the Olfe last fit? Is it narrow or fairly accommodating?

Works well for me. My feet are a little wider than most at the balls of my feet, but not quite wide enough to go up a width in most lasts, as my heel isn't wider. The Olfe seems to me to be cut a touch wider at the balls of your feet, which fits me really well, but not wider at the heel.

Yes, Olfe last 12153-S from the classic line. Don't think my feet will like the slimer last of Linea Maestro. It's already a little tight at the toes in the Olfe last. I can only hope that the leather will soften or stretch a little.

That occured to me as well when I had the shoes on.

After reading through most of the posts I took the plunge and ordered a pair of brown double monks. Communication was great regarding sizing which was a main concern. I am a 8E in AE 5 last and the 7.5uk in the Hiro last fits great. The color is a bit lighter than what is in the picture which I expected but not a issue which would make me return them. The finish of the shoe is fine. I would say for the price they are a great option but we will see how they hold up.

How are they width-wise? I'm an EE in the 5 last and I was a little concerned if they would fit.

They are a touch wider but not sure for a EE. Best thing to do is to email meermin the length and width of your foot.

I asked for green calf and the answer was no but it could be had in the future. This conversation took place last week
