Maybe not the absolutely nicest finish on them, but they are nicely "slim" , solid and feels heavy like a pair of double leather sole brogues should.
They have been my go to shoe when it hasn't rained so i would recommend them.
Any thing especial you are wondering?

Amazing. That is great news they look just as good as something 4 times the price after that long!!!!!!

Aieyric, thanks so much for the pics/info.

reassuring that these can take some wear and still look good.
and as to justifying more pairs, methinks the price on Meermin will rise (across the board) in the near future.

My first order was for two pairs. (just received shipping notification today. stoked) best stock up!

To those who have worn these shoes a few times now, how fast/ how much does the leather stretch out? The oxfords are a tiny bit tight width wise.

Any chance I can get more pictures of the two double monks side by side? I need to convince myself I need both pairs. haha. frown.gif

This new pair looks pretty great. I've been waiting for a pair of oxfords with five eyelet lacing instead of six and some minimal brogueing; these seem to fit the bill quite well.

Got my desert boots last week, and I love them. Leather feels awesome, the colour is excellent and the Rui last fits very much like the Hiro.

700

Sole? Can't say I agree with you on the last fits though. Rui definitely has a roomier toebox.

Two wears for mine.  But I renovateured the whole shoe before wearing.

Sole is tan rubber. I can feel the roomier heel area, but since I have wide feet I don't feel the same difference in the toebox.

Ah, the same 'honey' rubber as they had on those brogues a while ago on their tumblr?

Regardless, nice pair of shoes CB. I wonder how many other gems are hiding in-the-retail-store-but-not-on-the-website of Meermin...

Does this help soften so it stretches more? What are you implying?

Correct, joiji, I like the tan soles better than the black ones with this leather. After following and participating in this thread for a while I think it is a far greater number than we would like to believe...
