I certainly do. Check out this post here. Apologies in advance for the lack of natural light - damn jet-stream phenomenon. If you want better pictures, then I'll take some Sunday morning, as I'm busy Saturday and will not have a chance to take pictures in natural light until the weekend. Also, I now have my Meermin shoes-trees, which arrived two weeks later than the shoes because they were out of stock in my size [UK10].

FWIW, I think the Meermins in brown in the classic collection are hideous. I have no idea why the style is so very different from the same style in black. Hence, why I bought both my whole-cuts and single monks in black (and have 3 shoes out of 4 in black =/).

P.s. The word that you are looking for is "resemblance". I remember when I was learning Spanish years back, before I switched to Chinese, I attempted to say that I was 32 years old. Instead, I ended saying that "I have 32 arse-holes" due to the Spanish for "years" and "arse-holes" sounding similar to my ears.

Thanks for your link. Before I registered here, I went through the whole thread; thus I remembered having seen the pics but this afternoon, I didn't manage to find them again. Just for me, you don't need to take pics again, I ordered the the shoes a couple of hours ago.

P.S.: Thanks, I was switching between those two while writing my post. At least I'm happy to hear you obvisouly don't have digestion problems. ;)

Best regards

I ordered the cuero based off of what calikids photos look like (and yours are a very similar shade). To me it looks amazing and unlike anything Horween offers (with the exception of maybe #4)

Namor, are yours "cuero" as well? If so, yeah, they def look like whiskey and I'll be pretty disappointed if mine arrive looking that light.

Compare peoples photos of Cuero against what's on the website and either there's some serious color variance in the batches of shell they work with or they need to get a photographer who understands color balance.

^ i think Pepes pics were taken with a cell phone. if they do come out that light, i wouldnt mind as itll be lighter than my cottesmore. in any case, im stoked to finally be getting these as its been nearly 5 months since I placed my order

yeah the production photos clearly look like cellphone pics so I'm keeping that in mind, I just don't understand how the photos on their website are so dark.

btw, your MTO looks spectacular in the photos you've posted, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
(i wasn't knocking the color, I just have a lot of whiskey and hope my NSTs aren't that light)

No worries, I wasn't thinking that anyhow. I think it's expected that shell will have some variance. I've kinda of gone into all of this with an open mind, so looking forward to any surprises (or not)

My MTO are shipping today, should be here next week sometime. They are one of the more boring MTO's done, basically a plain black cap toe oxford on the olfe last with a few little touches, but i'll put the obligatory photos up once they arrive.

for those in the states, are you getting hit with customs by UPS?

They appear to well made, fit very well and are comfortable upon first wearing.  The leather is a bit stiff at first and we will see if it softens as it ages.... so far I am very impressed... especially at the price for shell cordovan....

these. probably should but they are only $310

$310 for a pair of shell, can't really go wrong. Personally I'd mix up the colours a bit, maybe pick up some longwings or PTBs, but nothing but the split toes are produced in anything aside from burgundy and black. Bit of a pity they don't have something RTW in their dark brown..

yeah, no dark brown and they dont intend to make any rtw dark brown for the foreseeable future. wish i had know back in April
