Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 1018

You guys are making me confused. Joined the mto for hiro last cordovan n upon emailing Meermin, they ask me to order the same size as elton last. Elton length is good for me but not the toe box area but nevertheless, i ordered the same size hoping is more roomy upfront. N the size i ordered is the same as capital last. Now i keep my finger crossed.

terras14, just out of interest what is your size in Loake Capital last and the size in Meermin? And foot measurement?

I wonder if Meermin is a bit inconsictent in size, ie, same last and size feels and measure different?

Hi my loake capital is in 6.5uk
Elton 6.5uk is tight in the toebox but length is ok
Order mto hiro last but not received yet. Ard Nov so hoping for the best.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this (and sorry if it is not) but I am selling the two pairs of Meermins I own (a black Ron loafer and some Hiro monks in snuff suede) as they do not work for my wide feet. If anyone is interested you can access the classfield from my signature.

This is not the right place. It goes under BUY&SELL

They are already listed in BUY/SELL, I thought I would let folks in this thread know though.

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with my first Meermin purchase. I plan on buying these boots that are on the Rui last, but have no good comparison on what size to get. I'm a 10 EEE for Allen Edmonds 5 last and after measuring my right foot (the larger one) I'm 27 cm length and 11.4 cm width. I did contact Meermin for measurements regarding the Rui last and they gave me information of two sizes, 9UK and 9.5UK, shown below:

L 310 mm shoe outsole 9UK

W 109 mm shoe outsole 9UK

L 292 mm last insole 9UK

W 104 mm last insole 9UK

Foot 27 cm 9UK

L 314 mm shoe outsole 9.5UK

W 110 mm shoe outsole 9.5UK

L 296 mm last insole 9.5UK

W 105 mm last insole 9.5UK

Foot 27.4 cm 9.5UK

Based on these measurements, which one do you think I should get? I'm leaning more towards getting the boots in a 9UK and then getting them stretched if after breaking them in feels too snug. Thanks in advance and I hope these measurements will help you guys in future purchases as well!

Quick question regarding MTO groups: when they end, they all say, "Successfully funded." Is this true, or is it just the default system message? A lot of them don't seem to reach their funding goal, and Meermin explicitly says they'll only go ahead with production if they reach their goal.

I've wondered the same thing. I suspect that if it is funded it is because they fund the remaining few shoes to make a dozen orders and then sell them in one of their stores. I could be way off base but they sit there for a week with only 2 or 3 orders and then all of a sudden it closes as fully funded. That's just hard to believe.

glad I'm not alone here. I keep bugging them about it, I've obsessively looked through their past MTO and it looks.like they have only made a shell wingtip boot once. Seems like there would be a good market for this.

I completely agree. If they want to generate buzz on this forum and create more interest they need to do a cordovan boot. Something with a dainite sole. Perhaps a dark brown shell cordovan straight tip or wingtip boot would be nice.

they made these in the past. https://www.meermin.es/articulo.php?idArt=4223# hoping for something like this in a cognac color. A flat welt with a dainite sole would be a nice change too.

My own experience with boots tell me that when in doubt, go big.

The laces on boots will ensure the fit is okay even if the boots is slightly larger.
