I second that.  Some nice shell cordovan boots would be very nice and just in time for winter.

Agreed. @meermin don't forget the shell balmoral boots or really any darker colored one-material balmoral boots!

Make them brown and I'm in too.

Received my MTO Cognac Cordovan LWB yesterday (size 8). Beautiful shoes but the RUI last just does not fit me width wise, so these will probably end up in the B&S if anyone is interested.

@7_rocket Or these, if they fit your style. They can be dressed up or down.

Thanks man. I'm a HUGE fan of suede, but I have reservations of wearing double monk straps. All my years working DT, I've only seen two people wear them. Decisions I tell ya

I haven't had the time to take pictures and post yet. Shoot me a pm if interested. It can be shipped from Denmark now or also be shipped from US in December when I travel there.

Advice requested, thanks!

- I wear a 9E in the 5last that fits a bit better with a slim insole inserted. I might actually be a 8.5EE.
- I just received a pair of 8.5 Hiro oxfords. I can just barely get my foot inside without laces or socks and it feels like my toes are squished. I think the Hiro last must be closer to a 5 last D width.
- Do people think they will stretch adequately, or am I better off returning/selling them?

Hi Guys, joined this split toe MTO in late summer:
https://www.meermin.es/grupoMTO.php?idGrupo=514

Went to the Meermin trunk show in Stockholm last Week where they has an exemple IF this split toe on the HIRO last ant have to say "wow",looked Even better then the pics IRL. Cant say IT was really EG Dover, but rather close. Looked like a very nice split. Much better then the Meermin split Toes seen before.

Only things troubles me is the sizing. They didnt have the split in My size so I tried à Oxford in 8.5uk. That one was a bit snug to My surprise. As a reference I normally wear Uk 8. Loake Capital Uk 8 is à good fit. Most of My dress shoes is Uk 8. Only à few is 8.5. Uk 9 has always been way to big

I did email Meermin prior to ordering and they suggested Uk 8.5 based on My measurement. Lenght of foot 26.5 cm.

So is the HIRO very untroe to Size or is IT just because they are very stiff before broken in.

I got quite the opposite experience. My normal size is 7.5UK and the shell wing shoes in HIRO i ordered are very roomy and I got a heel slippage initially. It is better now but HIRO is definitely more roomy than any shoes I have.
