Check my comment above. If you're in the US, they charge in dollars at a higher price than the equivalent price in Euros.

Now I just hope they will stop being conservative and do shell on more elegant lasts like Olfe or Elton.

As far as I know Meermin's shell line is gy-1 construction but use the soles form the LM line. All the soles are pre stamped, similar to how Allen Edmonds JR soles are all pre stamped with "shell cordovan" even though they are used on other shoes like their exotics.

^Yep, I did not notice that and I think they should avoid that "Linea Maestro" stamp on the leather outsole for their shells; it is confusing.

Thanks.

For me it's 160 euros (VAT included), which is about 180 USD. But from what I understood, you can get the VAT back so it's actually the same..

It's $175 US with VAT excluded. If VAT was fully excluded from the 160 Euro price, it'd be about $25-30 lower than $175, wouldn't it?

I just mean that the net cost for Europeans and Americans is roughly the same

Hey all!  Trying to figure out what size I would be in the olfe last.  I wear an 8D in the alden snap last, a 7.5E in most AE shoes, 8.5 in nike sneakers, 9 cole haan, etc.  Anyone with similar shoes with an idea on what size I should order in the olfe last?

I received that email, opened up, and poof! All gone.

Received a pair of Meermin adelaides on the Elton last. To be honest, I'm disappointed with the quality. The leather is extraordinarily stiff (I can barely put the shoes on and take them off despite having ample foot room when are on) and they are quite squeaky.

Would any of you gentleman have any solutions to these problems? Is wearing them simply the best way to loosen the leather, I suppose?
