Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 1000

With a little different light. All in all I'm quite pleased, my pair seems perfect, no QC issues. Now I just want them to do a pair of burgundy shell GMTO hiro balmoral boots!

Shell bal boots please👍👍

Couple of initial shots from my Meermin single monks. These are a beautiful green museum calf on the Elton last from a GMTO back in late March - the green museum mottling is actually pretty subtle even in direct sunlight so it was pretty hard to capture on camera. Arrived earlier in June and I haven't had the opportunity to bust them out, so I'm making do with a few shots.

Does Meermin still offer MTO's for let say 6 people? Or is it just the Group MTO's from their website?

Only the Group MTO on their website, but you can e-mail mto@meermin.es with suggestions and if there's a lot of interest, maybe they will offer it

Looks like their readymade collection is down to one or two in each category and their MTO's are down to one too. Anyone knows what's happening?

You sure it's not a cookie issue with the ready mades? I'm seeing plenty of RTW options on their pages, more than the last time I was over there actually.

In my experience MTOs are timed as such that after a batch of them expires, there's one or sometimes even one laggard MTO that keeps on going until a new batch of them arrives a few days later.

Speaking of MTOs, I also received my "Cigar" Shell Oxfords recently, but only got a chance to take a peek of them yesterday. They fit alright (a relief given my strange feet), but I noticed that on the left shoe there are a pair of small dents on where my smaller toes be at. This is my first time handling Cordovan so I'm not as knowledgeable about this as calf, but I should be able to buff this out right?

I was wondering if Meermin had ever done a conaque shell cordovan boot? Would like to see it if someone has a pair. Think this would be a great MTO group

Couple of questions on these shoes that I'm hoping someone could help me with!

1. If I wear an 11.5D in most Allen Edmonds (Strand, Park Avenue, McAllister), what size would I wear in the Elton or Hiro last?

2. What's the difference between the Elton and Hiro last? Can't find much info on the website about the Elton last.

2. For my information sake, how does these compare in terms of quality/build to Allen Edmonds of Church's custom grade shoes?

Thanks!

Got my first pair of shell from Meermin. Quite pleased overall especially when I found out it's Linea Maestro because the description said these would have GY-1 construction so I wasn't expecting this. A bit of slippage around heel area but I guess it would get better with wears?

Now I just hope they will stop being conservative and do shell on more elegant lasts like Olfe or Elton.

I only have 3 meermin shoes. all Linea and in Olfe last. I had a couple other classic pairs in Elton, and Hiro, but just did not like the lasts much. I check every now and then for a nice MTO in the Olfe last, but it seems to have vanished from their make ups. Hiro and Elton tend to deminate, which is a shame.... Olfe fits my foot so well.

I just bought dark brown chukka's on Hiro last with double rubber sole, but they are so still i can barely walk in my room without my feet hurting. Curious if any of you guys used double rubber Meermins and do they become comfortable with time? I'd love to make them my daily shoe but not sure about comfort..

also i am confused about the fit. I have UK9 oxfords on Hiro last from Meermin and these are very tight, perhaps even little bit too tight. Now knowing that, I bought these UK 9.5 and they feel good, but there is little bit of room inside. If I force my foot i can move it forward and backward around 1 cm, is this too lose? I assume with time they will become even more lose?

I find the Hiro last to be very narrow, but kinda long. so if you have some volume in your foot sizing up might give you room, but make the heal sloppy. too bad they don't have different widths to choose from.

I own the "Galway" boots, Hiro last on the double rubber sole. Breaking them took a couple of wear but they are now very comfortable.
