Don't own any suede pair from either Carmina or Meermin, but Meermin use split suede (cheaper, less refined) for their classic range, and reversed calf (full leather, higher quality, thicker) for their Linea Maestros. Carmina only use reversed calf, and those I've seen in person and looks to be of quite good quality with great luster.
