Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 983

I'm tempted by these navy Chelsea's that are currently on offer but would be curious if anyone already has any Meermins in navy calf?
Are they very versatile (subtle) or are they a flashy colour? What would you wear them with?

I have Ron loafers and I went with the same size as Carmina Rain. YMMV, but I have a slightly widish foot with a higher than avg instep.

Additionally, I have a pair of Carmina in Last Rain and they actually fit my foots quite good. There is not much extra space for the width but a bit heel slip.

Will appreciate if anyone can provide some advises on what size I should go for the Meermin loafer. Thanks!

Gents, need some sizing advice here for Hiro last.

My balmoral boots with hiro last fits great for 8 UK but when I tried on the monkstrap of the same last there was incredible slippage around the heels. There was still room even when I inserted my finger in.

Should it be safe to go with 7,5 UK then?

Hey guys! So I am a college student studying finance right now and was thinking about ordering a couple of meermin shoes for my summer internship. This would just be from their classic line. Is there anywhere on their site that shows if it's in stock? I just don't have months to wait for it to ship. Also can anyone suggest other good shoes in the same price range as their classic line?

Thanks!

Very good looking! I've been wanting one of those for ages but haven't pulled the trigger so far.

I've had them for 3 years. Use them often for rainy days. Haven't polished since I got them.

I believe that if it's not in the stock then the size does not appear on the website. Happened to me twice. But write them an email to be sure...

Good morning Sirs, that´s correct, if you can´t find the size on our website then most probably we do not have stock, but it´s worth sending us an email because we might have a pair left.

I bought a pair of Meermins suede tassel loafers and am in a bit of a pickle.

I bought them at size 8.5 UK (my feet being about 275 mm, cold). When I wear socks and my feet are warm the shoes fit quite nicely (except the instep, I sadly have a high instep but in the world of loafers one can't do much about that except go bespoke). I am worried though that they will stretch and be too big. Should I go half a size smaller? I order a bigger size because I have a higher instep and my feet width is around 105 mm so I was worried that they might be too tight, but it turned out they aren't and the 1 mm less in width (as the Meermin page states) wouldn't be a problem. The length difference (or as it's written on their site, height) is about 4 mm. If I push my feet forward in the shoe, I can fit my finger between my heel and the shoes heel (which are surprisingly well fitting since I have rather protruding heels).

Does anyone have any experience with Meermins suede loafers and their stretching? When it comes to suede I read mixed opinions on whether or not it stretches more than normal leather so I am not sure how to approach this. By the way, this is my first experience with suede shoes.

Overall the shoes are really nice. They are slimmer than I like and than what fits my foot, but they present themselves nicely. One thing I have a gripe with, is that between the heel and the instep the shoe is wide at the top and the skin is a bit loose and it doesn't look too good. That must be because I am a bony person weighting 65 kgs at 186 cm height. Gives the shoe an overall worse look but I understand it's impossible to avoid.

Received the Oak Antique Calf GMTO on the Elton last today, and they look great! They are roomier than my Hiros which leaves me a bit uneasy, but with my orthotic insoles I use for sneakers they work great.

This one is true to color IMO

Hmmmm... as someone who has been fence sitting for Oak Antique for quite a while

When I saw @Lucho 's detailed post above, I was disappointed in his real life pics version versus Meermin's glam online shot - this would be a letdown for me from a finishing perspective versus the pitch:

But then I see @Garant's post with this shot and I'm all excited again:

I'm wondering, does Meermin do better/more detailed finishing on GMTOs versus the same leather/color/finish for their standard shoes? Lucho's and Garant's finishing look worlds apart.

I know photography plays a bit of a role here, but I don't think it explains everything.

Interesting observation. Photography can certainly play a part, but it seems unlikely to render that much of a difference. I suppose the only way to find out is to gather photos from more users with Oak Antique Calf.

Your thought on different finishes depending on GMTO or standard stock sounds scary. Would they really do that?

Has Meermin pretty much done away with adding new RTW shoes from their LM line?
