Do these seem a bit wide? Should I be sizing down for Ron loafers?

On another note, the tassels on the right shoe refuse to lay flat (perhaps this is why they are seconds). Here is a pic:

Is there a way to get them to flatten down?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I size down an additional half for Ron. So 10.5US --> 9UK. I don't have any gapping, only when I walk as the loafer flexes. The tassels will probably calm down with wear or maybe some cream would relax them a bit?

PS.-I think this photo belongs to member Ozzyjones, who must be very happy.

Have the same pair, beautiful LM construction, awesome museum brown calf, wear in good health.

Picked up a plum pair on the classic line recently, forgot how hard the classic lone can be to break in.

@meermin, good to see you back in the thread. Can I ask why you've never done a captoe/adelaide version of the gold museum calf? Its always wholecuts and monks. Just curious.

Can I ask a silly question please?

If a shoe size isn't listed on a page on the Meermin site, does that mean that they don't make that shoe in that size, or is it just out of stock?

I'm looking at a few shoes, for example I'd like the below in a 12.5 or 13, max listed is 12.  But there are some sizes missing on the list, 11 is missing for example.

https://www.meermin.es/articulo.php?idArt=4661

Is it a matter of emailing customer service and checking if they do it in my size, and when they might have back in stock?

Thanks a mil.

I have the opposite problem and need size UK5 which is often not listed and that applies for both RTW and GMTO. If I have wanted to buy a shoe I have just E-mailed them if they can make me a pair in UK5. have done this for around ten pairs and so far the answer has always been positive. For RTW they usually need about two months to make them.

Ok thanks! I actually emailed Meermin and they say they recommend same size for both.

Anyone else have any experience sizing Hiro to Ron?

Meermin Shell Cordovan, the right shoe (to the left) has been given a treatment with deer bone, Saphir Reno, Saphir wax paste and Saphir medal wax.

I did them one of the time to show the contrast.

This is my first time using the deer bone and I'm very satisfied with the results.

I'm hoping someone can help me with sizing on the Elton last.  This will be my first "nice" pair of shoes.  I measured my feet and got 280mm in length and 120mm at the widest point.  I typically wear a 12 in US sizes, but am worried about sizing bc my feet are wider.  I emailed my sizing info to Meermin and they wrote back:

Attached we are sending the measures of our Elton last.

ELTON

L 320 mm shoe outsole 10UK

W 110 mm shoe outsole 10UK

L 300 mm last insole 10UK

W 105 mm last insole 10UK

Foot 28 cm 10UK

I don't know what this means though.  Can anybody help guide me with the sizing?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Hope the GMTO is succefully funded, but is moving froward really slow.  I have a LM DM booties in plum and the leather is really nice. It took me a while to break those in too.  Enjoy your shoes.

Sorry to say you are stuffing your shoes and wasting your money, of course IMO.  Work with the brush for shell and buff.
