Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 974

I have just received the polo snuff boot in the Rui in a size 10. I have quite wide feet usually a Barrie E or vass P2 Wide (both UK 10) and these boots are snug but ok. Length wise these are TTS and width wise I would say Barrie D+. (E-) Very similar width to Loake Capitol in UK 10.

As for the boots themselves I am quite impressed, other than some glue in the insole of the right and a small slightly ugly finish on the welt of the left (no problem) they seem very good. Will post some pictures when time.

A quick question for any owners of Meermins in a half size. Inside the shoe/boot does it say anything (.5) to denote the half size I.e. 10.5, 9.5, 8.5 etc or just 10, 9 ...

My 10 1/2 say 10 1/2. Both inside and on the sole.

Heads up, Meermin just added some more models to its MTO group. Personally, I'm not impressed as I'm looking out for some boots. Wouldn't mind the green double monk though.

Hi Sirs, yes, it adds 1/2 normally for half sizes.

I've been out looking for a pair of Jodhpur boots but I missed out on the last brown MTO (not particularly interested in black boots). Also, I'd love to see some balmoral boots with interesting top parts (non-leather maybe). I know this might not be the season for boots so I'm ok to hold on till fall.

We are working on some new colors on balmoral boots, so please keep on visiting our website to see whether you like any of our future offerings.

Oh and some offerings on button boots would be interesting as well :D

Since Meermin has an official presence in this thread now, I'm going to ask: I'm pretty sure many would be interested in a split-toe derby in textured/rough leather, just like Edward Green's Dover and Saint Crispins' Mod. 508. There's no good affordable split-toe offered right now among the "budget" options.

Maybe some Belgian loafers, too, but I'm not sure if it's just me, though!

Hey, what do you think about this model?.

I just pulled the trigger with some kind of anxiety.

PS.-I think this photo belongs to member Ozzyjones, who must be very happy.

Couple questions:

Do most size down from Hiro to Ron (loafer)? In Hiro I'm an 8. I recently purchased a shell tassel loafer (from goodyearshoes on eBay) on the Ron last in size 8. They fit pretty well but there is some minor heel slippage. I'm concerned that after breaking them in the slippage will get worse. Also there seems to be a bit of gapping on the side of the shoe. Here's a pic:

Do these seem a bit wide? Should I be sizing down for Ron loafers?

On another note, the tassels on the right shoe refuse to lay flat (perhaps this is why they are seconds). Here is a pic:

Is there a way to get them to flatten down?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
