I'm considering my first Meermin purchase, and, having been in the market for a pair of Adelaides for some time, am considering this GMTO:

Does anyone have any experience with this leather, and if so, is the color on the website true to life?

Many thanks.

Cheers,

Sizing advice moving from Ama to Ron?

I've got a pair of the calf wholecuts in 11UK and I'd say they have a little space, if I'm moving to a suede loafer which will be worn sockless/thin socks worth sizing down to 10.5UK? Got a thinner heel, high arch and wider frontfoot if that helps.

@MTLinStyle I purchased them from another member on B&S.

Not sure if they are MTO or not. I did some digging, and they may have been an old MTO style.

Can someone help me out with sizing? I'm looking to buy the Antique Oak Double Monks MTO (Elton last) and not sure what's the best size.

I usually wear:

Meermin Hiro: 8.5

Meermin Ron: 8

Allen Edmonds Mora 2.0: 9D

I emailed Meermin on sizing and they said 8.5 for the Elton would be appropriate, but I'm wondering if I should size down 0.5 given they're double monks?

Thanks!

Stay with 8.5, dont size down, elton is narrow.

Just placed an order for the Elton DM in Oak Antique Calf. After som discussion back and forth with Meermin I went for the same size as in Hiro, 9.5UK

Lets make this MTO happen, just a few more orders left!

These are on the Rui last. Any input on how you guys take care of your shells is welcome.

These are a great pick up Darkside, congrats!

I just received my Chestnut Country Calf split toe GMTO and they're fantastic. Seems as though there is some interest in these Shell Cordovan split toes, I'm sure we could get a GMTO going. I'd be in and would be happy to coordinate so long as we keep these on the RUI last :)

What do you guys think? Any interest?

Beautiful boots and looks like they are in excellent condition.

How did you treat your boots to make it last this well?

I live in toronto an I want to make sure I can wear the boots through the snow/salt

Has anybody order their burgandy whole cut shoes?

https://meermin.es/articulo.php?idArt=4625

Any concerns from anyone who has ordered it and used it for a while?

I would really appreciate some feedback.

Also reading throuhg prev threads, it seems there is no duty/tax when getting into the US, where as in Canada you routinely get dinged.

I'm thinking of shipping it to my friends house in new york.

Any duty/sales tax applied for shipping into new york?

Is it possible to shorten Meermin belts? I mean if the buckle is removable using the screw or the buckle is sewn in?

So there is a screw? I just received reply from Meermin, and they said it's not possible to shorten belts.

And also I've found this image (Meermin should be on the top):
