Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 946

I'm in the market for a pair of loafers at this price point and thought Meermin's tassels looked nice.

I have a wide foot, though - 9.5G in the Loake 026 and Chancery lasts, 9G in Capital. 9E in Crockett and Jones' 348 last was too narrow. Am I a hopeless case, even with the Ron last? Would it be worth it to size up to a 10 or 10.5?

Awesome! Thank you very much.

Appreciate the answer.

I was gonna ask this as well. I'm 9.5UK F width in almost all brands and I wonder how the RON last fits? Also, I'm a 9.5UK in the HIRO last.

From the Meermin last comparison on Tumblr earlier the Ron last is slightly wider than Hiro; seeing as the letter width is the same it is probably about the same as the difference between a thick and a thin sock.

I have to use tounge pads with my loafers after initial break-in. I wish I had gone half a size down.

What size are you usually, and what size did you end up buying?

So I picked up a pair of Meermin wingtips when I was in Madrid last week and wanted to share my experience.

Service in the store was OK, not as good as I've received at the AE store, but that is somewhat expected for Spain.  The shoes seem tremendous.  I was dead set on a pair of snuff suede chukka boots from some online recon, but decided I didn't like the way the shoe was cut, just seemed to not look right on my feet.  Instead opted for a pair of oxblood-ish wingtip oxfords from the Linea Meastro collection.  I haven't had a chance to wear them yet as the weather back home has been rainy since I got back, but have worn them around the house for a few days to break them in and I am impressed.  The leather and construction is off the charts.  Also, since Spain is in a financial crisis at the moment, they are more than happy to advertise tax free shopping to foreigners, which saved me almost $50!.

Also, for sizing purposes, I wear a 11 D in most AE shoes and wore a 10.5 in Meermin... also, the shoes were oxfords and the "v" in the lacing area is almost completely closed as opposed to me AEs that have beteween 1/4 and 3/8 inch gap.

Hey guys, sorry about another sizing question.

I'm a size 11 ( Medium to wideish feet).

I'm planning on buying some black caps (hiro last)  and some suede loafers ( ron last).

I heard hiro and ron are a bit narrow. Can anyone advise me on sizing?

I wear a 11D in AE park avenue and strand and the 10.5 UK on my shoes is probably 1/4 of a size too big.  The AE shoes are almost molds of my feet.  Hope this helps.

I usually wear 8½ UK, which I also ordered. The width is perfect but my foot sits just half a cm too far back from the ideal spot in the vamp.

In Loake the Duke last fits me perfectly in 8½ UK while the Capital last same size is a tiny bit too roomy.

I have a normal Arch but shallow feet in the forefoot.

An insole would make the Meermin loafers feel snug, but I would get heel slip when I walk. Tongue pads keeps them in place but I still agonize that I didn't size down half a size.

I have MTO due in January for a pair in the Hiro last also size 8½ UK. I hope they will fit better than the loafers.

I have attached some picture documentation. I hope people can stomach insole imprints. I can remove them if it offends people.

For people on the MTO, about how long did it take to relieve your order if you're in the US? They just shipped my dark brown suede chelseas im so excited😭

Hi all,

Just received my MTO order of 101530 in black calf. The quality of much of the finishing is seconds level imo. And the uppers are scuffed. I've bought 2 Meermin seconds that were in much more pristine. The soles are fine.

What should I do?

I was going to bring this to my cobbler immediately for toppers ugh

Wearing my new linea maestros for the first time. Outstanding shoe, but probably could've gone down half a size more. Either way, very happy with the purchase.

Very nice and sleek. Different color socks with those pants though!
