Meermin Mallorca Shoes - Page 934

Received a pair of Double monks on the Elton last. Not sure if I'll keep them, they felt a bit roomy when I just tried them on for a minute. I'm afraid they will definitely be too large when they're broken in. I'm wearing the same size in hiro last which fits perfectly though. Anyone else experiencing that Elton should be sized down in comparison to hiro (about half size down)?

Are you referring to the mto from a few weeks ago (with contrast color elastic panel)?

If you are referring to the dark brown suede chelsea with leather sole on the sleek Elton last MTO then I am one of those who is awaiting them patiently! I emailed them few weeks back when the MTO showed as being over on their website. They said no problem they could still add me.

It might be too late now though.

Honestly they are the best looking suede chelsea boots as the last looks very sleek and love the dark brown shade.

I just emailed them when I saw this, they're checking to see if they can. But they have all my info now so it's just a waiting game. Fingers crossed!

Good luck!

Is everyone sizing the same between Hiro and Elton? Elton is more sleek so wouldn't it be more tight width wise?

Are you referring to the leather soled version on Elton (like the ones @clarksdb described)?  or are you referring to the rubber soled version on Hiro?

Hello gents,
I'm pretty new here and I'm recently looking for my first pair of Meermin. I'm interested in the Hiro last oxfords.
I've looked a lot of threads but still couldn't decide which size to buy. I'm hoping anyone can give me some suggestion.

My measurements with socks:

Length: 27.3cm

Width: 10.2cm

Since this will be my first pair of good shoes, I only have Aldo and Converse sizes to compare.

Aldo: UK9 US10 EU43 (slightly loose but no slippage)

Converse: UK9 EU42.5 (snug fit)

From what I've read, it seems like my size might fall in UK8.5 or UK9 in Meermin Hiro last. Can someone give an advice?

Thank you.

Yes I would say UK 9.

It was for the rubber sole version actually. I'd rather have that anyways since its fall - wet, rainy, etc.

So I received my first pair of Meermins: oak antique boots with shearling lining.

Shearling lining is simply amazing. It's not a thick lining which is good as it does not make the boot bulky at all. Very soft and warm inside. Just love it. I would also say the shearling lining would make this boot more comfortable from the first day as opposed to their other offerings.

Regarding sizing I went with 9.5 UK and they fit well. Honestly a 9 UK would have been a pain to put on each time. They definitely fit and there is no slippage. However is it normal for there to be that much of an opening at the back of the shoe?

The color to me was a regular brown when I first unboxed them but today in the daylight I noticed the antique shade. Very nice.

Overall these seem to be really good and I'm sure they will age wonderfully.

the reason i'm asking is bec i ordered a pair of those but i'm having second thoughts.  I may prefer to wait until they make a navy suede chelsea boot.  Are you by any chance size 8 UK?

Had these show up today
https://www.meermin.es/articulo.php?idArt=4736#

I wear a 9 UK in the Hiro and Ray (that's the loafers, yes?) lasts, and Meermin emailed me and advised me to take the same size on these.

The leather looked pretty lame when they first arrived, but after three coats of cream they looked like the photo. However, the Rui last is pretty big, I wish I would have sized down a half size. I'm experiencing some heel slippage that I hope lessens over time, but I didn't experience with my other Meermin shoes.

I really wish they would have advised me to size down to keep a consistent fit... I will probably order another pair of boots on the Hiro last in the future, for the sleeker toe box and a fit I can trust.

These are definitely causal and chunky boots. Much more than they appear in the photos online. Overall, I suppose I'll turn them into slightly-too-big beaters for the snow and bad rains. They look beautiful after a thorough polishing, just not the fit or the versatility I was hoping for.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad I went with a Hiro last boot. I was originally looking at the boot you got but because of the less sleek last I chose another offering. I'm glad I did, even though I wanted a dark brown boot the oak antique is a regular almost dark brown color.

Thanks for replying.

Is there a reason why you suggested that? I saw you wear UK9.5 and said 9 would be small. Is your measurement slightly larger than mine?
