Yep! Just be sure to make sure your sizing is correct because Meermin typically does not have a high resell value due to a lack of name recognition. Email them for measurements.
Almost pulled the trigger on the Gold Museum double monk MTOs yesterday...they were 5 mm too narrow.
Totally! That is why I was asking how much they stretch during breaking in. I wrote to Meermin with my foot measurements asking about the correct measurements and they got back to me superfast with their recommended size and provided full measurements for the last, including both the insole and the outsole. The suggested size was a US 9.5, but I've had past experience where 9.5s feel nice and snug during the first try-on and then after a few wears to break in, the leather loosens and they feel loose and sloppy around the ankle causing heel slipping, even with an insole and/or heel pad. I'm planning on going for one of the regular collections shoes, so I can return if they don't fit right, but the fit issue usually seem to come up too late to return. If I do order the 9.5s and they seem good out of the box, I think I'll give them a few days at work on a carpet floor and hope that I can get a good feel for how they break in before causing any wear on the soles. Those MTOs are gorgeous, but I'd want to establish a baseline fit before buying a pair given the no return policy.
So if any Meermin owners could provide commentary on their experiences breaking in their shoes and regarding the fit of the heel/ankle/instep on Olfe lasted shoes, I would be most appreciative!
