Hi guys I'm about to pull the trigger on Meermin's Rapello Suede Dub Monks - would anybody please be able to give me an Alfred Sargent or Herring size comparison?

I do wear 6.5 UK in Herring, 7 in C&J and 7 in Carmina. I would assume, based on this, that I need size 7 in Meermin.

Many thanks, I'll get onto ordering them now. I was never sure whether Herrings ran small or AS ran large - I think it might just be both!

So for members in the United States who ordered these, what was your total price per pair of shoes after taking into account shipping and all other costs (and does Meermin deduct VAT since we're not an EU country?)?

Double monks were $203 + $26 customs from Fedex.

MTO was like $450 or $480 I think with trees

Your pictures saved me a visit to the store I was planning for later today (yeah, I was going there at last, lol), just to check if they had dissected models.

So Linea Maestro are not gemmed.... interesting stuff.

Can anyone commment on how their studded rubber sole compares to a Dainite studded sole?

Pretty similar. I've not worn mine enough to comment on the wear, but they feel fine.

Not gemmed? Wow, price-wise that's a fairly incredible feature, pretty much every English RTW/MTO shoe is gemmed regardless of price.

are you sure? You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
