Pepe is the man. Mentioned I would be traveling / busy in a week so he express mailed a pair of double monks to me. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Got them as a birthday gift to myself, can't wait! Although might have some duties / brokerage since it's with Fedex

can anyone advise how to best select a last? I'm interested in ordering a pair of the black double monks - these will only be my second pair of shoes that are available in different lasts. I currently have a pair of Churchs Balmoral Oxfords in a UK9.5G '100' last(according to markings in the shoe).

Ive got the tassel loafer in dark brown suede, dubmunk dark brown suede and a MTO olfe last cap toe adelaide semi brogue in black calf and green lining on the way for me. Also have a bunch of oxfords and bluchers for my colleagues. Will see if i can get photos of them all to share.

Can anyone comment on how the quality of the Clasica models compares to the quality of the Maestra ones?

I own a Maestra on the New Rey last that I'm really pleased with, but at that price point I'd likely go with Carmina, which seems to be a step above and offers less exaggerated lasts.  The Clasica line has more rounded lasts but I'm still unsure of its quality.

Does anyone have pictures of these http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2339 to share? I've read through the thread a few times but I don't remember seeing a pair.

I wear a US size 10D and the length in these shoes is just right, particularly since I would probably get some heel lift if they were any longer. The left toe is also quite comfortable, but the right is feeling slightly pinched. Hopefully this will subside with some wear. Not being able to try on a size 9.5 it is hard to say these are truly correct, but I do not plan to send them back. The shoe is very nice and compares favorably to my Allen Edmonds. There is a minor stitching issue on the back of both heels, but it is notsufficient for me to return them. These are very attractive and appear to be an excellent value. I am sure I will eventually order them in both black and suede.

I wore these for the first time today.  Fit is in fact perfect on both shoes, both in the toe and at the heel, and the color is fantastic. My challenge will now be to not wear these every day, as they are already my favorite pair of shoes.

Just wondering how that would look on a soft square last in Dark Brown Calf ............................

Ordered these today in MTO Dark Brown Calf, Linea Maestro stayed with the Olfe last as Pepe convinced me that shoe looks far better on that last !! Pics when they arrive.

Got my shipping notice on Friday - they were supposed to arrive tomorrow, but alas, they are stuck in customs awaiting completion of some forms.
