Could the New Rey be anymore narrow than Vass U-last? That is pretty narrow imo. Anyone with such experience?

I recently commissioned a pair of MTO cordovan double monks. Will post pics as soon as I receive them.

I just ordered a pair of suede double monk straps with rubber soles. The customer service of Meermin is great, honestly the best I've ever encountered. If the shoes are as good as everyone seems to think, I'm not buying shoes anywhere else until I graduate!

 

Out of curiosity, did you exchange the 9.5 for the 10 with Meermin or were you forced to sell the 9.5 and buy the 10?  If you exchanged, what was the cost?  I ask because the hassle of buying the wrong size is the biggest thing holding me back from trying out a pair.

Thanks.  Looks like you pay original and return shipping if you get the size wrong.  No mention regarding shipping on the replacement pair, but I assume this is the buyer's responsibility as well.  Now I understand why many just sell shoes in the wrong size on B&S.

No, I didn't exchange. I had them stretched by a cobbler. They're fine for me, since I sit around my office a lot, but I'd go bigger or wider for the next pair on the New Rey. More likely I'll go w/ something on a different last.

If you go with a bigger size, wouldn't the shoes be to long, assuming the length is right now?

Does anyone have experience of Rui last which is width EE. How does is compare to British width G?

I think that I could go up 1/2 a size & still get a pretty good fit. I'd add tongue pads or an insole if necessary.

has anyone been in touch with pepe about when they're likely to have the rest of the categories filled on the website? there's currently nothing in the casual or shell cordovan sections and those are the ones i'm most interested in at the moment.
