Am I seeing a white (probably nubuck) wholecut in the store pics?

 

I MUST get that for my upcoming light blue/white hairline stripe cotton suit. I hope they carry my size.

And the light blue suede boat shoes! Wow, the web shop is really lacking a lot of content.

Yes, and it looks like their brick and mortar store selection has also improved since the last time I was there...

Those blue suede wholecuts...omfg. Just mailed Jose, I really hope they have it in my size and he's willing to sell it online.

 

 

 

Just got the Shell Cordovan LWB and the Freudenberg in the mail today. Really pleased with the service from Pepe and Sandro. Very quick to respond to emails both before and after purchase.

I traced my foot, measured it and sent it as a PDF to Meermin along with the sizes I wear in other brands. Pepe recommended a size 8 in the LWB and 8.5 for the Freudenberg. Both fit really well. Price to quality ratio is definitely up there. Leather is very stiff so it'll take some time to break in. Only time will tell how the Argentinian shell holds up. Not a shell expert but upon initial inspection, it looks quite good.

For reference purposes, I wear:
Size 8 Tricker's Belgrave (fits slightly large)
Size 8 Alfred Sargent Connaught (fits perfectly)
Size 7G Church Consul (fits a bit small)
8.5 Alden LWB - Barrie last (didn't buy, only tried on, toe box was fine but major heel slippage)

Anyway, here are some pics:

I got the shoe numbers from the store in Madrid for the blue suede derbys and blue suede monks, since they did not have my size in.

How much was the MTO fee from Meermin again?

However I'm interested in either white nubuck or light tan suede wholecuts... both can be seen in the second picture. Hope they have them in a 7 too. If I had the money I'd be running to the store right now

7 is my size too. They did not have the blue suede derbys, wholecuts or double monks in 7, atleast not in the Madrid store.

So you paid an extra €50 for MTO, right?

Without aimlessly searching throughout the thread, can anyone please provide me a contact email to inquire about an MTO?

I'm in no rush, just wondering about any language divide.

Just a warning that although they are operating as an "online" business their communication practices seem to be routed in a bricks-and-mortar world.

 

After receiving my first pair of shoes, I was shocked to see a pick mark/gouge in the leather and a large number of spider cracks in the leather:

 

The most disappointing thing about this is that it if proper QA had been carried out this problem would have been identify and the shoes never sent.

We're not talking about a loose stitch in the welt, or a improperly glued lining, this fault is visible to the naked eye and is on the outside if the shoe.

 

The communication problem has reared its head now that I am trying to get them to send me a replacement shoe.

It has taken two days and 5 emails and so far I still don't know if they are sending me a replacement or waiting for the damaged shoe to be returned.

 

You can use the "they are swamped" or "I'll take a slow response over higher prices" lines all you want, however if someone has ordered and paid for their product (like I have)

then customer service should be a very high priority for the business.

 

On a positive note the shoes are very well put together and I was almost tempted enough to overlook the damage just so that I could get the shoes on my feet.
