I think it's nice also, reminds me of the Carmina Robert last a bit, which I also have. My MTO pair are on the olfe last. To me, the new Rey and particularly the vil are too pointed. olfe is a good middle ground, not pointed but still elegant.

Just curious...

Why does the Olfe last include the word "asymmetric" within its name?

How do the suede wholecuts (101332, Ama last) compare to C&J's Connaught (236 last) or Westfield (341 last)? I am a UK 6.5 in both C&Js. They fit snug but just nice. Should I go with a UK 6.5 for the wholecuts as well?

Dont know if this helps but im a 6.5E in both the C&J 337 & 341 (Westfields too) and bought the 6.5 in the Double Monks and they fit exactly the same. The monks are on the hiro last which according to the lasts explaination is a slightly more narrow last than the ama. I would go with the 6.5UK FWIW.

After what I've read the ama last has less room by the toes, so if you got a wider feet, like me, the hiro seems to be a good fit.

I'm only going by the above last picture which states (from left to right) narrow to wide..... Even the shoe trees dont look too shabby...

€30. They don't fit inside the shoes as well as Carmina trees for example, but they're half the price...

I was going to get a pair of the double monks in suede, but I really like these... Maybe I'll get both.

My dark brown double monks arrived today, in size UK9E, as per Pepe's recommendation. As I spent the day at the race track driving my M3 through almost 80 laps over the last 8 hours, my feet are pretty swollen from all the pounding and g forces. I wear a US size 10D and the length in these shoes is just right, particularly since I would probably get some heel lift if they were any longer. The left toe is also quite comfortable, but the right is feeling slightly pinched. Hopefully this will subside with some wear. Not being able to try on a size 9.5 it is hard to say these are truly correct, but I do not plan to send them back. The shoe is very nice and compares favorably to my Allen Edmonds. There is a minor stitching issue on the back of both heels, but it is notsufficient for me to return them. These are very attractive and appear to be an excellent value. I am sure I will eventually order them in both black and suede.

Has anyone ordered their tassel loafers in snuff suede? It seems they could do it, but I've not seen anyone
