You can contact Jason directly through his website re: any visits to NYC. He was very responsive to my emails when I bought my suit earlier in the year.

Have been in contact with Jason the past few days - always quick to respond to emails and questions. Just ordered a 1 button sb charcoal grey sharkskin suit. Can't wait.

^^^What was the quoted turnaround time for your order?

Wondering if anyone can suggest a tailor to make a vest with fabric that TaT supplies? Looking for smth fairly basic--probably 4 pockets, 6 buttons. And tailor needs to be ok without doing in person fittings. Thanks.

quoted turnaround is Approximately 4 weeks, usually it's been less, but currently it's a bit more due to a combination of busy-ness, some fabric stock delays....so at the moment i'm about a week or so longer than the quoted 4 weeks.....but orders placed now, I'd say will be ready in the usual 4 weeks.

please keep in mind the 4 week approximation is that, an approximation. sometimes it's a bit sooner, sometimes a bit longer.

^ I would assume they do - Jason has told me that he can do a jacket only before

I got the suit I ordered from Jason a few days before a wedding I was invited to two weeks ago - just in time for some required alterations, primarily the sleeve length and to shorten pants. The end result:

A simple navy suit, just as a trial. I'll definitely order again.

Good morning SFers,

I need y'alls help. I have been in the market for a new slim fit canvassed suit for 7 months. This seems to be right in my price range under $500. My biggest concern is going to be finding the right fabric. I am very picky about suit fabrics and its difficult to get a great idea from a computer monitor. I currently own a black, brown, dark navy and grey windowpane suit. I was considering a Kid Mohair Charcoal, Navy (or) Grey Windowcheck 5223-4 or a Charcoal #9 Super 140. Any suggestions?

^ You probably need to be a tad more specific than that

You don't have the most basic of suits, the charcoal single breasted two button. Take it in sharkskin for something special.

I work in restaurants so I don't want the fabric to be light. I've found that light greys and such are easily soiled by stains from beverages... However, I want the suit to be stylish and versatile. Meaning, I dont wan't it to be boring and I want to be able to pair several shirts/ties with it. I don't want to be limited. I am very slim so I generally try to stay away from pinstrips as they dont work out so well... I was considering a charcoal with ticket pocket and double vents. Would that work? Also, what exactly is good about "shark skin"?
